ReceetMe respects the privacy of everyone who visits the ReceetMe Website (https://www.receet.me/). ReceetMe gathers important information from our visitors and customers. We have published this Privacy Policy to inform you how we gather and use information about you, how we protect it, and how you can participate in its protection. ReceetMe provides its service to you subject to the ReceetMe Terms and Conditions of Service and this Privacy Policy, which shall be deemed part of the Terms and Conditions of Service. We reserve the right to change this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we change this Privacy Policy, the change shall be effective immediately upon posting on our website.

This Privacy Policy applies when you ask to receive a digital receipt from a brand that uses our services (our “Customers”) from whom you have made a purchase, or if you visit our website, our social media or any of our mobile applications (collectively, the “Services”) directly or through one of our Customers.

Our Customers are merchants who use our Services to issue smart digital invoices and receipts to you for your purchases. These digital receipts allow you to reduce the use of paper, and if you wish – to track and manage your expenses, returns, coupons and the rest of your relevant consumer information, all in one place.

Children

The Services are not directed to individuals under 18. If you are under the age of 18, you may not use the Services or provide any personal information to us. We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under the age of 18. If you are a parent or legal guardian of an individual under 18 and believe your child has provided personal information to ReceetMe, please contact us at info@receet.me.

How We Collect Information

We collect information about you when you engage with one of our Customers, and upon your request to receive a digital receipt, or when you otherwise use our Services.

What kind of information do we collect?

If you engage with one of our Customers, we may collect:
- Information needed to form the requested invoice/coupon or receipt, such as your mobile number or e-mail address.
- Information related to your browsing, purchasing, and online behavior and activities;
- Automatic-Passive information and meta-data, such as IP address, operating system, user/device id, geographic location information, and type of device used.
- Feedbacks or reviews given by you relating to your experience while engaging with the brand or its services, or anything else you actively post or upload.
If you visit our websites or use our apps, we may also collect:

Surveys, Feedbacks, Polls, Loyalty Registration, Reviews, transcripts, and recordings of your communications with us;

How Do We Use the Information Collected?

We use the information to provide Services to our Customers, and to improve our Services, based on your interaction with the brands and us, as described above.

We use the information we collect on behalf of, and as directed by our Customers, to deliver the digital receipts, and for our own purposes, such as for improving our products. For example, we may use information to determine whether to deploy a chat button to allow the brand to engage with you or to deploy content, such as a banner offering a coupon, on your browser.

We may also share the feedbacks and/or reviews posted by with our Customers. While this information won’t directly identify you, it may include the related invoice information.

Retaining Your Information

Depending upon the purpose of collecting your information, we may retain your information for some period of time, or as directed by our Customer.

Sometimes, we may retain your information to help our Customers with dispute resolution, tax reporting, or other matters.

Cookies are small text files stored on a visitor’s web browser and applications. Cookies are often used to make web-browsing easier by performing functions such as saving passwords and maintaining lists of personal preferences regarding the use of the website. We may use cookies and other identification technologies for record-keeping purposes and to enhance your experience if you choose so.

We operate as data processors on behalf of our Customers. You should contact our Customers with whom you interacted in order to receive copies of your personal data, or to opt out of having that data collected.

If you use our websites or other services, you may contact us directly at info@receet.me to opt out from our direct services, or to request to review or make corrections to your personal information held and controlled by us.

The services are currently available only in Israel

As noted above, the Services are currently available only in Israel. You cannot access our website from outside of Israel at the present time, although if you took advantage of our Services while in Israel, we may be storing personal information for you. If you think that might be the case, and you want to obtain a copy, change or delete information, please contact us at info@receet.me.

Please note that in order to fulfill your request for personal information that we may have about you, we will need to verify your identity before taking any kind of action. In no case will we be responsible for the personal data held by the brand with which you have engaged.

We have limited ability to access personal data which our Customers submit through our Services. If you wish to request access to or to limit the use and/or disclosure of your personal data, please contact us with the name of the Customer (the brand) through which you used our Services. We will refer your request to that Customer and will support them as needed in responding to your request.

How We Keep Information Secure

We use security measures designed to protect against the loss, misuse, and alteration of the information under our control. For certain Services, transaction data transfers are encrypted during transmission. In addition, data that we store is maintained and archived on secure, hardened servers that are hosted on highly secure data centers. Access to this data is protected by multiple layers of controls, including firewalls, role-based access controls, authentication mechanisms and monitoring. Data is backed up, and archives are stored in a secure location. ReceetMe’s highest priority is keeping your data safe. Nevertheless, ReceetMe is not responsible for any damage to the data, or to the functionality of the platform, caused by force majeure, which includes cyberattacks.

If you are communicating with a brand that uses our Services, you should review the privacy practices of that brand to understand which security measures they use, and how do they collect and process your Personal Data.

International Transfers

We are not transferring data internationally at this time. When and if we begin to do so, we will post a notice on our website.
